Thanks For Visiting

"As for me I'd like to thank my lucky stars"

In 30 minutes I will be well on my way to Richmond, Virginia for the annual five day Thanksgiving Extravaganza shared with 55+ other relatives. Breathe in. Breathe out.

This holiday I am especially appreciative and thankful. My family and friends have saved my life. To thank them, I will try to eat out of an act of love, rather than as a sacrifice. What's the difference? While I typically eat for them-- to please them, I give up something. I give up my desire to starve as a 'favor' (if I may). However, this week I will try to enjoy each moment with my relatives, with each bite as a representation of my love for them. Throughout the week I intend on jotting mental notes on how I feel emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. I have been taught the skills and methods to stay mindful and present in each moment, now I must apply what I have learned.

My lucky stars are my EDU Rock Stars. I would not be who or where I am right now if it weren't for them. Thank you, girls (and guys) for fighting with me. You have each had a profound impact on my life, something I am eternally grateful for.
